He first burst onto the scene as the director of Saw before moving on to several better movies like The Conjuring, Insidious, and Aquaman. The plot of this movie concerns a woman named Madison (Annabelle Wallis), who starts to have visions of a mysterious killer named Gabriel (Ray Chase, Marina Mazepa).

One is the loneliest number

Except two’s not as bad as one. Two’s better than one. (Unmarked Spoiler)

Venom: Let There Be Carnage sees Tom Hardy reprise his roles as Eddie Brock and his alien symbiote Venom. What’s impressive is that Hardy manages to sound even more over the top as Venom than he did in the last movie. Woody Harrelson also reprises his role of every single character he’s played since Natural Born Killers. Though not exactly distinct from his other movies, Harrelson does still turn in a good performance.

Jenny Jenny, you’re the girl for me

This wasn’t quite what I was expecting. (Unmarked Spoilers)

Jennifer’s Body is a horror-comedy initially released in 2009. I remember watching this movie and not liking it, which was true for a lot of people. The film received mixed reviews and was a box office failure. In recent years, people’s opinions have become much more favorable, with some labeling the film a feminist cult classic. That is what convinced me that it was time for a rewatch.

Was ‘do it’ making this movie?

The third time is not the charm.

Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) are back. Their latest exorcism goes horribly wrong. Ed ends up in the hospital after a heart attack. And if that’s bad enough, instead of being expelled, the demon merely jumps from David Glatzel (Julian Hilliard) to Arne Johnson (Ruairi O’Connor). The latter of whom goes on to murder his landlord. Then it’s up to the Warrens to retrace their steps and uncover evidence that will help Johnson’s case.

The Extra-Terrestrial

What a great piece of movie nostalgia.

One day siblings Mimi (Nita-Josée Hanna) and Luke (Owen Myre) discover an ancient sarcophagus buried in their backyard. It contains an alien overlord they nickname Psycho Goreman (Matthew Ninaber, voiced by Steven Vlahos), or PG for short. Eons ago, he was imprisoned by the Templars before he could complete his objective of exterminating all life. Luckily for them, Mimi also uncovers PG’s power source, a gem that gives her complete control over him. Mimi then forces PG to obey all of her childish wishes, regardless of the collateral damage.
